HI Ladies,
I have been posting on TTTC and was wondering if any of you have some good words of wisdom. We just underwent our first IUI after TTC on our own for 22 months. We were diagnosed with slight MFI, borderline count (19), motility varies between 45-60 and low morph (2-15). For those of you who have had success with IUI do you have any things you did that helped you both physically and emotionally to achieve pregnancy?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Success with IUI
all of my boys are from IUI- but it was the clomid that really helped me - our issue was me with PCOS not ovulating often/healthy.
best of luck to you!!
I have pcos and DH has MFI. IUI #2 worked for us with a count of only 2 million. We are currently TTC # 2 with no luck yet.
I hope IUI is yalls answer.... Good luck!
Both of my boys are result of IUI. Our issue was my PCOS and lack of ovulation, no known issues with DH.
I used injects/trigger/IUI. I got pregnant with DS1 the first time we made it to IUI (I had a couple of cancelled cycles due to overstimming before we made it to IUI). It took two cycles of the same protocol to get pregnant with DS2.
Good luck to you!!
I am happy to read so many positive stories. My husband and I are doing IUI #2 this cycle. I'm currently on cd 7 and taking Clomid. I'm really hoping for a BFP this time and actually came here hoping to find some success stories.
Good Luck to all of you who are also TTC!!!

My twins are from injectables+IUI. It was IUI#2 for us. The first IUI was with clomid and a BFN. Good luck!
To the poster I quoted, I see you've had numerous consecutive cycles with clomid. Has your RE talked to you about going to injectables? My RE said that more than 3-4 consecutive cycles of clomid can thin your lining so much that it makes it nearly impossible for a baby to implant. I had done one cycle of clomid+TI before the IUI+clomid cycle. After my clomid IUI cycle, my lining looked a little thin, so we moved onto injectables b/c the RE didn't want to risk more thinning. Just something to think about.

I did three IUI's with Clomid, and they were all BFN's. I got pregnant with my first IUI with injectables.
I've done 2 IUI's with the exact same protocol as my successful IUI, but haven't gotten pregnant yet.
Good luck to you!!!
We were successful with our first IUI with injections (Menopur) - the doctor also had us do TI the next day. I have PCOS so don't ovulate on my own.
Best of luck to you! I didn't do anything special outside of what our RE told us to do.
