My ice cube trays hold exactly 1 tbsp each, but I'm not sure how many of these per day/meal I should give DD. I started solids at 6 months, she's 7.5 now.
How much to you feed LO at each meal, and how often per day?
Just thaw a couple tbsp in one bowl, then transfer with a clean spoon to the kid's bowl. Use a different spoon for feeding the kid. If they want more, then transfer more with the clean spoon into their bowl. If they don't want any more, put it in the fridge for the next meal. There's no rule - she'll eat until she's satisfied, so just minimize the waste and make sure you let her control the portions.

So, 2 tbsp per meal? That's what I've been giving her so far at lunchtime (1 tbsp at breakfast)
So far, she's eaten everything I've given her. What I'm wondering is if that's enough. What are the signs that they want more? (besides clamping their mouth shut, of course)
Also, I need to clarify (I'm sorry I didn't in my OP) I'm trying to figure out how much food to send to daycare. Since I won't be there, IDK how much she'd want. It won't be a big deal if she doesn't eat all of it, but I'd like it to be be available.
I think just keep feeding her until she loses interest, tell daycare to do the same, and if she consistently keeps finishing her food at daycare, increase it by a tablespoon. She'll still have bottles, so she won't starve. Soon you'll start sending more finger food than purees anyway, so there won't be a good way to measure those.
