It's Infertility Awareness Week

Anyone putting stuff out this week?  Here is my post from today:

 Today is the first day of Infertility Awareness Week.

Infertility is a disease that affects 1 in 8 couples....including us.

I'm thankful for my little miracle, hoping for more in the future, and thinking about all of the couples who are waiting for their turn.

 

Anyone else have some good ones I can steal throughout the week?

    TTC since April 2009 dx = PCOS; TTC History for DS - A FET miracle after 7 IUIs; 2 fresh transfers, and 1 other FET resulted in BFNs. Hoping and Praying for baby #2: Cycle 1 - FET; November 2012 BFN Next Steps - who knows? Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

    That is great! I wish I felt open enough with my FB "audience" to do NIAW statuses.
    After 20 months TTC with PCOS, we were blessed with twins!
    They arrived at 36 weeks after PTL and bedrest for 14 weeks. Lilypie Third Birthday tickers image

    I would love to steal it as well! You worded it well! It may also get people off my back about #2! Hard to have a 2nd without sperm or enough money for IVF!

    I don't feel comfortable enough posting on FB (but I suppose I out myself anyway when in like IF related posts from others). To give back, DH and I are going to be on a NIAW parent panel for our local chapter of re.so.lve.

    I stole yours today but I think mine for tomorrow will be....

     

    Many suffer in silence. It is difficult want something so very much and hear "it is gods plan", "your time will come", "just stop trying and it will happen", "have a drink it worked for me" and/or "you can always just adopt". 1 in 8 couples deal with infertility.  It is time to break the silence for infertility awareness week.

      This is AWESOME!!  man, you guys are good at this!  I looked online and found a few pics that I might share this week, but they are all saved on my phone and I don't know the links anymore.

    I'm going to write statuses about this all week.  I haven't really mapped out what they are all going to be, but, I'm going to do one on the importance of support, one on what infertility really is, one on seeking the right treatment, one on why insurance should cover all or parts of treatment, one on resources for information.  The last one I am going to do is about how we all have our causes that we take up and why this one is so important and personal to me.
