Solid color onesies

I don't use a lot of onesies, but I would love to find someplace where I could buy (non-white) plain solid colored onesies. So far, I am only finding them in the $10 range, which I think is ridiculous. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Re: Solid color onesies

  • Nevermind. I had better luck searching online tonight than I did last time. I just ordered 9 onesies (some long-sleeve and some short-sleeve) and one romper for $38-something. Not too bad. Would have been cheaper without shipping ... shipping always gets me! Still, that averages less than $4 an item, and it will get us through the summer into the fall, especially because we hardly even use onesies.

Oh yeah ... I found them on Rock Bottom T Shirts, in case anybody else was looking.

  • Thanks for the recommendation. I have been looking for some gender-neutral clothes just in case the new baby is a boy, but I literally can't find anything that isn't girly. I would just shop in the boy's section but DH is really against that for some reason. Solid onesies are just what I need.

And you could always make them more "boy" or "girl" later on using iron-ons or other supplies from the craft store.

  • I have found some at Old Navy.  I like the solid color ones for photo shoots so I am always on the lookout.

  • Thank you for posting this- I have been going out of my mind trying to find a plain green onesie to match with a skirt I got Lena for a photo shoot. I swear I have been to every baby store in a 30 mile radius. Thanks for all the suggestions, ladies! Heading to check them out now.

Thank you! I found exactly what I was looking for.

  • I think Oldnavy would be your best bet, but never buy anything there without a coupon!

  • When you get them, can you come back and tell us what the quality is like?  I bought some Gerber brand onesies and they are so thin, I don't want to waste my money.  :-)  Thank you!  I love the colors!

Great idea! I actually knew someone years ago who bought iron-on paper and printed his own digital pictures onto it on his home printer and made captions in word art so he had customized t-shirts. I may do this. His was hilarious - it had a picture of his brother picking his nose with a caption that read "my brother is a nose-picker." He wore it to his first day of college when his brother was helping him move into his dorm. Everyone who saw it realized it was really his brother and started a conversation with him. He is painfully shy so it made him tons of friends.

  • Buy buy baby has the pretty cheap $4.99 each.  They run a bit small so I'd buy the next size up.  They have coordination pants and striped ones as well. The brand is called "little me"

I saw these, and they looked great, but the size only seems to go up to 9-12 months. That what he wears now, so I want to buy up.

  • For future onesie buying: H&M has fantastic solid color onesies that are good for boys or girls.  They usually run a 3 for $10 special a couple of times a season; at least, they always have it when I stop in every month or two.
