Baby won't nap in crib... HELP!

My 8 month old is doing great sleeping through the night in his crib, but during the day he will only take naps in my arms. When I try and lay him down like I do at night, he wakes up right away and cries. I have tried to let him "cry it out", but it only makes him more tired and when I pick him up he falls asleep right away in my arms. Don't get me wrong, I love holding him and watching him sleep... but I can't get ANYTHING done during the day! HELP!

    My daughter is the same. I found if I put her down on some cushions on the sofa she will sleep (But she refuses to roll over, so for now I know I can leave her on there.)

    I find she wakes up if she is put onto a cold surface....

    My daughter used to be like this. It was so hard to get anything done! I finally just kept trying to crib, and she actually went from sleeping 30mins on me to sleeping 90mins in her own crib! Keep it up!

    Try putting a heating pad in the bed for a few minutes right before you put your LO to bed.  We did this to help with waking like that and it worked.  Now we do naps & night-time very well in the crib
