Cloth Diapering

Grovia + poop

I like my 2 grovias because theyre so trim and the Velcro gives me a great fit. But I knew right away that I didn't want my toddler to poop in one. I put one on her lat night because she had already pooped so I thought I was in the clear. I was oh so wrong. She had a big and mushy one and it was everywhere, but didn't leak out of the shell. It was on every layer of the insert and I swished and flushed 4 times. (I've been meaning to get a diaper sprayer...) it was disgusting but I was so thankful that I had some gloves. I don't think I will use them on my toddler anymore.

Re: Grovia + poop

  • 90% of the time we have poop on the cover, toddler or not it just happens.

Ditto. 9 times out of 10 I have to change the cover when he poops (with all my covers, not just GroVia's)

    Me too.

  • I still have EBF baby but I was thinking about this the other day. I have to say that although my GroVia AIO's were the first OS to fit DD they are my least fav :(
  • I know it will 90% of the time get on the shell. That's not a problem. The issue was the grovia insert has those 2 open separate layers and when the poop gets in all those spots it's hard to get out. Made me appreciate my flips much more.

  • We nicknamed our Grovia AIOs 'the poopy diapers' because without fail, no matter what, she would poop in those diapers. The worst diapers to poop in were the ones she would pretty much ONLY poop in. After she grew out of her newborn AIOs I didn't buy any more. Now we only have the one OS AIO left and we aren't going to buy anymore Grovia. Not only do they not hold poo well at all (especially not the runny kind), but they stain super duper easy.
