Diapers that hold the poop?

I'm EBF and my baby has taken to holding the poop for a while and then letting loose an explosion. ;) For anyone in a similar boat - what kind of diapers do you use? Do you have issues with poop leaking? I'm currently using a mix of BG 4.0, BG Elementals, and prefolds with thirsties or flip covers. Poop seems to seep out around the legs  (and my baby has chubby thighs!) no matter what I do. :(

    My guy went through a phase where he was pooping once a week, with HUGE blowouts. We were using PF's with a Thirtsies cover at the time and never had any leakage.

    I liked rumparooz.  The inner gussets really helped to contain the poo better.

    Green Mountain Diapers Workhorse Fitteds. I didn't get mine till after DD was on solids and out of the runny poop phase, but I know they'll do a good job at holding it. I'll definitely be getting some before we have another baby.

    Jess & Adam, married 2009, precious Audrey born in 2011. BFP 1/6/13, 6-wk MMC discovered at 9 wks 2/11/13. D&C 2/18/13, second D&C 4/23/13 for retained placenta.
    BFP 8/24/13!! EDD 5/1/14, delivered healthy and sweet Zoey Leanne on 5/5/14 by repeat c-section.

    how do you use the prefolds? Do you fold them any particular way or use a snappi? I've just been laying mine in the cover . . . maybe that's part of the issue?

    I use the angel wing fold when I use prefolds. It traps the poo rather nicely.

    My baby poops the same way. Angel winged prefold and Thirsties cover works everytime!

    Watch a Youtube video of the bikini twist for prefolds.  It's great for little girls!  We never had a blow-out using prefolds.
