We are on about night 8 of transitioning to the crib from the RNP... DS is 14 weeks. In his RNP he would sleep from 8pm to 8am, waking only once around 4am to eat.now that we moved to the crib it takes us multiple times to put him to sleep and he sleeps 9-6 most nights waking up every few hours.. I feed him 2 or 3 times in there usually after trying to soothe him other ways first. This is also only our second week at daycare too so there are lots of changes going on but I can't help blaming the crib! I'm tempted to go back to the RNP, I mean, what does it even matter? Do we just keep going or put it off...I feel like we haven't really made much progress as it is.

Re: Ready to give up on the crib
I think that is a good idea. He might surprise you one day and sleep the whole time in the crib. Once my BFF's daughter started daycare, she started STTN in her crib. Hopefully this is the same for you.
We tried the transition for the RnP a month ago and it was terrible.
We retried it this week with a new strategy and are have success. I detached the top of the RnP (above the joints). I set this part in the crib with the top propped on 2 pillows so it is still at an incline. We have gradually reduced the incline and are now at one pillow. I am hoping to have him flat in the crib in the next week or so.
*The pillows are anywhere near the actual baby. They just support the head end of the RnP top so that it is still at an incline.*
If my description above doesn't make sense, I can take a picture.
We transitioned from the bassinet in our room to her crib in the past month. First we had her in the bassinet in her room. After I was sure she'd sleep in there, I started doing her first stretch of sleep in the crib. At first, this was only 15 minutes before she was up again and I would put her down in her bassinet. This past week she's slept almost exclusively in her crib.
I'm totally jealous of your 8-8 sleeper! Lena sleeps from 8:30/9:00 to 4:00 for her feeding. Then she's up again usually around 6:30/7:00.
And last night (after her baptism and general overstimulation yesterday), she was simply up at 4:00. Boo!
CAN YOU TAKE A PIC PLEASE!!
