So I had my first OB appointment on the 5th & the ultrasound said I was at 5 weeks. I have been keeping up with a few different pregnancy sites & they all give me a different "time span" of where I am at & how big my baby is. One says I'm 8 weeks & my baby is a raspberry. The other says I'm 7 weeks & my baby is a blueberry. I'm very very confused now & don't know what to believe as to far I am. Any insight???
Re: So confused!!
Are your period's regular? You might have skipped a period and then ovulated? Making you five weeks instead of ten? As long as your hcg levels are doubling every 48-72 hours and the baby's heartbeat looks good, should be okay no matter how big the baby is measuring
)
Thats the thing we don't know. Since I was so much earlier then they thought, there was only a yolk sac & they didn't look for a heartbeat or do any blood work. We are trying to wait until my next appt on the 30th, but I'm having a hard time waiting it out, only bc I want everything to be ok & I need the peace of mind of hearing & seeing my little "raspberry"
My OB just went by my LMP. Even when the U/S pushed it back each time they stuck with it. It also depends on your cycle days but that didn't seem the case for me when I was pg with #1. I calculated a 23rd due date based on my 35 day cyle, OB stuck with 19th based on 28 day cycle, LO looked bigger on U/S more like 15th I had her on the 6th a whopping 8.5lb. She was 2.5 weeks early. I also have been tracking my Ovulation with OPK's for some time last time and this time and it seems like I ovulate pretty late in my cycle but who knows...
I am confused all the time.. but as long as your baby is healthy and growing, rasberry blueberry its your little miracle!!
For DD, I know I ovulated on day 20 of my cycle. So if they had gone by my LMP, they would have been a week (6 days) off. I would always have to say "My LMP was this date, but I ovulated on day 20," and they used my ovulation date to date the pregnancy. My U/S were always pretty much right on track, give a few days here or there, with my ovulation date.
This time, I can't remember my LMP, but I am fairly sure when I ovulated, within a day either direction. I plan to just count back 14 days and tell them that was my LMP -- easier than explaining my late ovulation date every time.
