I know this is kind of silly, but I'm feeling impatient today.
Help me guess what Harrison's eye color is going to be...
Right now, they are brown just around the pupil, but grayish blue everywhere else. I think the brown in the middle has slowly become more pronounced since birth. I don't remember seeing that clear brown in the middle when he was born, but I can't be sure. Is that a good indicator that his eyes will eventually turn all brown? Is that how the transition to brown eyes starts?
Anna's eyes were gray blue when she was born, but by 3 months old, her eyes were clearly blue, no trace of any other color (I just went back and looked at old photos). And her eyes are a bright blue today.
DH has blue eyes, I have hazel eyes (green, blue, and brown). So I feel like anything is on the table... and for some reason, I just want to know!
Re: Eye color question...
I vote he's going to stay hazel like his mama
DH and I both have brown eyes, mine are very dark and DH's are bit more golden. DS had brown eyes from birth, but they had a blueish tone to them...especially further away from the pupil...so, in our case, the closest to the pupil was the part that was most accurate.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

My baby is 11 months old and I still cannot figure out what color her eyes are. Sometimes they look brown, but usually they look grey blue with brown in the middle.
She has red hair, so its kind of an unusual combination, but I'm convinced they still might just turn brown eventually.
I think there is a good chance they will stay gray/hazel. My dh has brown, I have one green with brown center and the other is green top, brown bottom, really weird, I know.
Dd has a really light brown or greenish eyes and ds has gray with brown streaks. Both had the same color since birth, no real changing ever happened.
DS eyes are brown in the center and a dark blue-gray around the outside. Mine are primarily blue with brown rings in the center, but they don't change like his do. I honestly don't know what color to call his eyes.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Recalling from my college genetics class, the genes are either blue or brown (green, hazel, greyish etc are all variants) So if your dh has blue eyes and your hazel is a variant of blue you have to have blue eyed children. If your hazel is a brown variant it depends on what color eye's your parents have. If you have a brown eyed and a blue eyed parent and your dh has blue you have a 50% chance of a blue eyed child.
Okay edited to add I'm totally not right here but was 20 years ago in college. Things have changed since then. Now maybe there is 6 genes that predict eye color??
