Hello everyone! I am wondering if any of you make your own soaps, laundry detergent, shampoo, cleaners, breads, etc? If so, do you find that it is easy enough to do with having LO's around, and also do you find that it saves money? I am looking to make healthier changes for my family and also save more money. Is making your homemade products cheaper than buying the product itself? Also, if anyone has any easy and great recipes that they would like to share I would greatly appreciate it. TIA
Re: homemade recipes and saving money
making your own cleaners 100% saves money and it's SO much better for your health
this is a great site:

Hi I'm a lurker, but we have made several changes to be more "homemade" in the past year.
I pretty much make everything from scratch and it definitely saves us money. We're also looking into joining a Meat and Produce CSA in our area which will give us better quality food for much less money then if I were to get it at the grocery store, plus we're also supporting local agriculture.
We've also switched to a cloth kitchen so we aren't buying napkins and paper towels anymore, so that definitely saves money.
I started "no pooing" about 2 months ago and it also saves a lot of money.
Like the PP, making your own cleaners is a lot cheaper, better for your family, and, honestly, they clean a lot better too. We do still buy Palmolive Eco dishwasher detergent and Tide laundry detergent because the recipes I found just weren't getting things clean and it was actually more expensive to make my own version of those products.
