carseat question

Repost from Toddlers 12-24

DD moved to her convertable carseat recently (Britax Roundabout55) and my SIL wants to take her shopping tonight. Do I move the whole seat into SIL's car? Does SIL take my car? How does this work? Sorry, FTM here and SIL's kids are much older so she can't remember!

It would be better for her to just take your car if you are comfortable with that. The more you take a seat in and out the more likely it won't get installed right.

Personal preference. Do you want to re-install the seat into her car and then back into your own later? Do you mind her driving your car? I don't think there's a correct answer. I'd personally rather swap cars than move the seat twice, but that's me.

If you trust her with your car I'd say that is the easiest way.

It's up to you. If she still fits in the infant seat and you have it handy, that's an option. I bought a spare seat for situations like this. The Cosco Scenera is a great, cheap spare seat.

Personally, I would just have her take your car if you're comfortbale with that.

I don't have children yet, but I've babysit regularly for a family for about 6 years now. I always just take her car when we need to go places because I know it's easier than moving around carseats

Whenever I drop boys off w/ grandma, they just keep the van... so much easier. When I would take niece out when she was a toddler, I would borrow their car. Easiest IMO.
