Transition to 3 bottles

When did you transition from 4 to 3 bottles?  Right now, DD is getting 4 6-oz bottles/day.   I am thinking about seeing if I can push back her second bottle a bit and gradually work to just 3 bottles.  Would I still do 24 oz total though (3 8-oz bottles)?  Just looking to see how others made the transition.  Thanks.

    Honestly... last weekend we were crazy busy and his bottles and meals were quite spread out and I realized that he only had 3 bottles each day (6 oz. each).  He wasn't grumpy or anything, so we made the switch.

    Why do you have to switch to 3 bottles?  I'm just wondering, because my pedi didn't say anything about that at DSs 9 month visit.

    He currently gets 4 7 oz bottles.  One when he wakes, one mid mornig, one late afternoon and one at bed.

    I don't think you have to switch to 3 bottles as PP said.  DS wanted more than 6 oz at each feeding so we went to 8 oz bottles.  He gets 3 bottles during the day and in between he gets cereal and yogurt, fruit and veggie purees and puffs for snacks.  He eats a little of what we are having for dinner and then gets a bedtime bottle but will only drink 4-6 oz of that bottle.  It just depends on your daily schedule and how often you want to give a bottle.

    I was fighting DD like crazy to take a bottle so one day I only offered 3 and our problems were solved. We made the switch early, like at 7 months! She gets about 20oz./day plus 3 meals.
