When do most people shop for a baby shower. My shower is in 10 days and only 20 things have been bought from the registry. I know a lot of people do not buy from a registry and that's ok. I assume it's probably mostly my closest friends/family that have bought stuff so far since ALL the big items have been picked up. There will be 40 people there so I'm surprised there hasn't been more "little items" bought yet.
Re: Registry question
IMO 20 is a good amount unless it's mainly little things. Most of what I received from my shower were not from my registry.
This. I am assuming our showers are the same day (next weekend), only three things were bought so far. I am not worried.
From my experience with my bridal shower (yes I skalked my registry) everyone bought the day before.
Either people are waiting till the last min. or they won't go off the registry at all. I just had my shower this last weekend and only 3 people bought off my registry. I was still very grateful for what I got and actually some of the stuff I got I didn't even think about getting before but am really glad I got it! One of my bff's got me a lullaby machine that also projects a picture on the wall.
And don't forget you what ever you don't get at the shower you can use a completion coupon on!
This comes off as really greedy. I wouldn't be complaining at all if ten days before my shower "ALL the big items" had been picked up. 20 items is a lot to be purchased in advance. Almost nothing was purchased from our registry the day before my baby shower, and we ended up with almost everything we registered for given to us at the shower.
ETA: Is it possible that shower guests chipped in to buy some of the larger gifts?

Stop registry stalking.
A lot of my friends go the day before.
If you are having a girl and everyone knows, you are going to get a lot of clothes and nothing else. Sorry to break it to you!
this.. 20 items is a lot considering there are still 10 days left.
LOL why respond to a question you hate?
I'm excited to get ready for my first baby and shop for the things that are left over after the shower, there's something wrong with that? I'm not going to buy duplicate things so obviously I have to wait to see what's left over. I'm surprised that there hasn't been more little things bought from the registry, that makes me greedy? If I'm wondering when most people shop for a baby shower than I have every right to post on here and ask! Isn't that what this board is for? If you don't like my question then don't reply to it.
