Its a good thing my OB said he'd rather I come in (for anything) than not, because we went again last night. I woke up from a nap at 5pm yesterday and by 6:30 had only felt LO move 3 times. I told DH, drank a cold glass of water, and thought about that 10-in-2-hrs rule. We decided nothing is worth the risk so we went.
3 more kicks on the way in. When we got checked in and sat to wait for triage...BOOM. LO started just wiggling and dancing. That stinker! They brought me back and hooked me up to the monitor anyway. Good heart accelerations, good movements, and I got to see my BH contractions. I had 5 in the 45min I was hooked up. They were all about 1/3 to 1/2 the strength of a true labor contraction which I found informative and a little scary.
So - if we're keeping score:
L/D #1 - dehydration
L/D #2 - cervicitis
L/D #3 - our son faked us out
Re: L&D trip #3
I had the same problem last month. He just wouldn't move no matter what I did. But the whole time we were in LD he wouldn't stop. Glad everything is ok.
Glad things worked out!
I think getting checked out is always the best idea - can you just imagine how horrible it would be to think 'oh, everything's fine' or 'I don't want to be a bother' and have something be seriously wrong? Ya no. Not worth it at all. Good on you for going in and being seen.
Sounds like my last pregnancy.
Trip 1 was dehydration & uti
Trip 2 was for increasing bp (which leveled out when we got there, of course)
Trip 3 was for no movement, which we were told he was saving his energy for delivery and he was born the next day.
I'm glad everything is okay, its always better to be safe and get checked out!
