Death by Coca Cola?

Did any of you guys read this article about the lady who died from drinking almost 3 gallons of Coke per day?

I find it amusing that they take the time to mention the fact that she also smokes 30 cigarettes a day, but that doesn't seem to have played a role in her death.

What do you guys think? Death by Coca Cola?

    I saw that!  Um, I think it's a factor of both!  Death by horrible life-style choices!

    How does one even have time to smoke 30 cigarettes a day while raising EIGHT kids?  And just thinking about drinking that much soda just makes me sick to my stomach!

    I totally agree, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who stumbled upon this article during my morning news perusing. I just had to laugh at the absurdity of it. And the comment by Coke that "People can also die from drinking too much water, just like it to be known." Yeesh.

    I think the "fact" that the 30 cigs a day had nothing to do with her death is a croc. I mean, smoking is bad for you! So is drinking 30 gallons of Coke. I think the smoking had a role in her death. I'm curious as to when she started this awful habit. I think the combo of the smoking and Coke killed her faster than if she only drank the Coke. But yes, I do believe that if she only drank that much Coke a day, she still would have died sooner or later.

    Yeah - that was a ridiculous comparison.  I mean it's true that people can die from drinking too much water but you have to drink a sh!t-ton and usually you have to do it pretty quickly.  I think drinking 2 gallons of water over the course of the day is not going to kill you.  Um, 2 gallons of soda - yeah.

    And 3 gallons of Coke? How did she have any teeth or stomach lining left?

    I think this lady was nutters. Why on earth would you drink 2 gallons of coke a day? I love coke, but I have the sense to limit myself to 1 glass a day or 12oz.

    You could probably die from drinking 2 gallons of coffee a day as well.

    I think 30 = 1 1/2 packs a day.  But yeah - as a former smoker I don't think I could have ever smoked that much.  Even on my bad days!

    Exactly. Its funny too that they want to blame coke or cigarettes for contributing to her death, but it sounds like this lady was a little nuts and probably had a string of HORRIBLE LIFSTYLE CHOICES which caused her poor health/death.

    I love coke...but 1 glass a day seems reasonable to me Stick out tongue
