ugh. DH and I still can't decide on a name for this little boy.
Liam or Matthew. Liam is kind of matchy with DS1's name. They start with different letters but they "sound" similar.
And Matthew is totally different, but I can't picture myself calling a little boy/baby Matt or Matthew.
Anyone else totally torn still?
Re: matchy names
We still have a list of 3 names for this LO. I'm not worried about trying to pick "the one" before she's born though. Last time, when I had DS, I went to the hospital with 2 possible names and after he was born, I picked the one I felt fit him the best.
We plan to do the same thing this time.
I don't know your first son's name but I have always loved the name Liam.
I had originally picked Scarlett for our girl's name and luckily it already seems kinda matchy to our son's name (Roman). I've even had other people tell me they go well together. It is something I kind of take into consideration though. If I was still iffy on a name I would factor in the "matchiness". Some people think that makes for a name snob but meh, oh well.
The other names we picked were matchy too but I was always set on Scarlett and finally DH agreed.
We debated for a long time with our sibling names.
Our DD1 name starts with an E...so for awhile we toyed around with having DD2 name start with an E. However, we really didn't like that.
DD1's name ends with an A and DD2's name will also end with an A, but will start with a different letter. If we have a third and it is another girl, she will also have an A (but again a different first letter for her name) and if we have a boy it will be something completely different and most likely won't end with an A.
Good luck. I found it harder to name our second child since not only did I want a cute name, but something that wouldn't sound too weird with the name of our other child. I always heard to see if it sounds right, say the two names outloud and see if they have a good ring to them.
Goodbye little angel(7/22/2011)....see you in heaven
Goodbye my second angel (9/18/2011)
Thats exactly what we will do. I've become unsure about the one boy name we were 'set' on, ever since we found out the gender. I just can't call him by name until we get to meet him.
I loooooveeee Liam. What a great name.
