Preeclampsia Diagnosed, Being induced today-38 weeks

I was diagnosed with preeclampsia yesterday, the baby and I are doing well at the moment, but it is too risky to see if it gets worse. So I'm going in to start the induction process in just a bit! I really did not want to be induced as I have been really hoping for a natural/med-free labor and delivery, but this is the safest choice for me and the baby.

I just hope it doesn't take days :/ And I hope the baby is all good & plump to come out! I'm 38 weeks today.

    Good luck!  Smart move to do what's best for your baby, even if it's not how you originally planned it.  These babies have minds and plans of their own sometimes.

    Good luck! I'm sure baby is fine at 38w! It's better for you AND baby to do things this way. I know it's not what you wanted. (Read your NB post) Pitocin makes contactions stronger and closer together, so don't feel let down if you need that epidural. Remember, too, the epidural will help bring your blood pressure down.

    I was induced last week because of high BP/low platelets and ended up developing pre-e during labor. I am sure that LO will be in great shape at 38 weeks! T & P for a healthy delivery for you and LO.

    Good luck and many prayers to you during this time! I was diagnosed with pre-e and hospitalized for a week then induced at 35 weeks bc all of my testing and everything started going downhill very fast. You really ate doing the right thing and honestly the delivery will make everything so much better! Keep us all posted!
