I had my first u/s last night! I was a hot mess leading up to it. I was not this worried/emotional before the u/s with Conor. Anyway, we have one perfect baby measuring 6w5d and a heartbeat of 152bpm. SO relieved!
The nurse saw what could've been another baby that tried, but didn't make it. We just saw a black spot/hole and nothing else. She wasn't 100% sure, but she didn't know what else it could've been.
I'm happy and thrilled to have one healthy baby, but at the sametime a bit sad about the one that didn't make it. Mainly wondering what happened to it and if it really was a baby.
I go back May 7 for my second u/s. I'll be 9 weeks that day. The week before my RE's already packed with OB u/s. So I guess yey that some fellow IF are pregnant in my area. ![]()
Re: First u/s
I lost a twin too, so I understand how you feel right now. It is hard to what if and it is okay to grieve.
Congrats on the healthy little bean!
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
