Just had to share- U/S yesterday
Yesterday, I went in for an U/S to check placenta position and cervical length. In addition, they do the whole shebang checking growth and position. Because DS was early and on the small side, I was nervous and worried that this little girl would be way small and I would be put on bed rest immediately.
Well, needless to say, everything went great
Baby is measuring big and a week and a half ahead of schedule. DD is already measuring over 4lbs. My cervix is a little short, but still nice and closed.
The U/S tech kept going on about how big her thighs, tummy and cheeks were. Then she pointed out that the all the fuzziness around the head was hair. She couldn't get over how much hair my baby had.
So apparently my baby is fat and hairy...which is fine by me. I feel so re-assured which is a really nice feeling. Thanks for listening/reading:)

At this point mine was measuring at 17 mm. They like to see it around 25mm (or 2.5 cm). I think anything between 25-30mm is "normal." This was according to the US tech.
Yay! So glad that things went well for you!
It always surprises me how reassuring ultrasounds are and how relieved I am to have that additional point of confirmation that things are going well.

Thank you. I too am amazed by this and by how much more connected I feel to her. We got to see an awesome face shot even though it wasn't a 3d ultrasound. So cool.
