My IUI is scheduled Saturday at 12:30 pm. The nurse told me to trigger tonight, but gave no time.
Last month my IUI was scheduled for 9 am on Monday, I triggered 9pm on Saturday, but I'm sure I ovulated Sunday night (I felt pain where my ovary is when I went to bed ~10 pm, and temps confirmed Sunday ovulation). When I told the nurse that, she said I could take the shot later.
I normally go to bed around 10-11 pm, and I feel like that's too early to trigger given what happened last month. Part of me wonders if I should trigger tomorrow morning at 6:00 am when I wake up (which would be ~30 hours prior to IUI instead of ~37 hours if I trigger tonight). So, what time would you trigger?
Re: When would you trigger?
For all of my IUI's I've triggered 36 hours prior to the IUI. This last one I triggered at 9:30PM on a Wednesday, and ahd the IUI at 9:30AM on a Friday.
Could you call your RE and see what time they want you to trigger?
for all of my cycles- my RE had me trigger RIGHT after confirming via US that I had at least one mature follie (18 or higher).... and DH gave a sample- and we did IUI about 2 hours later, post wash.
We then did another IUI the next morning - about 24 hours after the trigger.
best of luck!
Thanks for the advice ladies.
After stressing all night I decided that when the nurse said it was ok to take it "later" she meant just a couple of hours. So I woke up at 3 am to trigger. This puts the IUI 33 hours later...I figured even if I ovulate around 24-26 hours later like last time, we should still be good.
