Knitted or felted wool covers?

What do you recommend? Knitted or felted wool covers? She will mainly be wearing them during the day but may wear them at night down the road. TIA

Re: Knitted or felted wool covers?

  • Do you knit? I have a cover that I knit, but then was accidentally felted and now works great!

A knit cover isn't necessarily thicker, it all depends on the weight of the yarn used.

  • I am learning to knit. But I have seen some knitted covers, pants and skirties and then I see the felted one. I assume felted is better for nightime but does knitted work just as well for daytime use?

  • I haven't had a problem with the knit covers for daytime. I imagine that for night time that felted would be better. If you want to try knitting a soaker though, I like the curly purly pattern.

  • We have a hybrid (knitted body, interlock waist and leg bands) It is a bit bulkier, but if she's wearing wool during the day at home I just use babylegs instead of pants.
