  Last month we moved up to the bigger insert and we've been putting the 'fold over' in the back....which causes her backside to be HUGE! Just curious - if you have a girl, do you put the fold over in the front or back?

  My nephew uses the same diapers and his fold over is in the front which makes more sense for a boy. But for a girl I could see it going either way?

  In the back for a girl definitely. When girls lie on their backs and urinate - it pools under their bottom and towards their back. That extra absorbency doesn't really get used in the front of the diaper.

  Actually now that I think about it - tummy time could result in the front absorbency being needed. Can you tell my LO still spends most of her time of her back?

  We do the back. BG's website recommends front for boys and back for girls, so that is what we do. It works so far.

  I always did it the same way, front only cause I had two in diapers and one a boy. I never had a leak from my daughter. I also went up to the biggest size fast so no folding involved. She was a chunker.

  I always put the fold in the front for my girl.  When I take her inserts out, that is the wettest part, so I put the extra there.  In fact, a lot of the time the back of her insert is totally dry.  We never get leaks out the back.

  I say put it where ever you kiddo wets.

  We have always done the fold in the back. She does sleep on her tummy, but we usually use both inserts now for naps anyway.

  My DD always soaks the front, and the back is always dry so we put the fold over/extra up front. This is why I hate pockets that have the opening in front LOL My fingers have to touch the wet up front, whereas on BGs (and similar) it's always dry in the back. Whatever works for your LO!
