Infertility

Is it legal??

Ok so this is probably the DUMBEST question in the world! but I'm just not quite sure..my husband and I went through IVF (well we were about to!) then found out we were pregnant on our own..AFTER we had purchased ALL of the fertility meds. So...to make a long story short. I have a TON of meds that I don't want going to waste. I would love to be able to help out another family by selling them these ALL UNOPEN meds (i.e. follistim pens, follistim cartridges, menopure, novarel, ganirelix, etc.) Does anyone know if this is do able are do I sound absolutely nuts? And if it's do able, i'd be more than happy to save someone a lot of money by selling them everything i've got..I just hate it to go to waste and I would rather someone get pregnant off of using them vs them just sitting here :(

Re: Is it legal??

  • Not to be negative at all, but how far along are you? Would you want to wait and make sure that this pregnancy progresses as planned and you absolutely do not need them. Most of the meds are good for about 2 years.

Having been both a meds donor and a meds recipient, I can tell you that donating is absolutely wonderful!

I absolutely hate to do this but I have to agree. DH and I got PG naturally the cycle right before we were planning on doing IVF (after 2+ years off BCP) and then had a m/c. I'm really, really hoping that you don't have to worry about that and have a H&H 9 months.

Ditto the other ladies, though. It's illegal to sell. You could either donate to someone on this board or donate them to your RE and they can give them to people who are paying OOP.

    GL to you!

I really suck at staying pregnant
