I am trying to get myself ready for the next big transition!!! Can you give me a sample of your schedule for your 1 yo and some food ideas that you use. Also, are you still giving baby food at 1?
Thanks! I figure if I start thinking about this now, I will be ready when they turn 1!!!
Re: Moms of 1 year olds...
Once my girls started eating regular food they wouldn't eat baby food!! Right now they still get 2 bottles. One at nap time (although I am sure they could drop that one) and one at night. They are on milk.
For breakfast they like: cream of wheat, oatmeal, cheerios, Life, toast, yogurt, fruit, bagels
Lunch and dinner: mashed potatoes, carrots (but they have to be mashed), anything Chefboyrdee (sp?), mac & Cheese, chicken, turkey, pork, all flavors of applesauce, anything with cheese in it. They basically will eat anything we eat. I give them juice too.
Basically they get up at 6:30 and they get a sippy cup of juice or milk. They eat breakfast around 8:30ish... Lunch at 11:30 then a bottle. They nap from 12-2. They get snacks when they get up and then eat dinner with us around 5:30. Then a bottle at 7:30 then off to bed. For snacks they love all the Gerber graduates!! Especaially the lil' crunchies!! I also give them cheerios, Teddy Grams, graham crackers, goldfish...
HTH!!
Like pp, once my girls started table food there was no looking back.
For breakfast they'll have bananas, yogurt, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, pears, mandarin oranges, applesauce, cheerios, etc
For lunch and dinner: some of whatever we are eating (they've had everything from artichokes to tacos to mahi mahi), also things like grilled cheese, peas, mixed veggies, broccoli, mac and cheese, soups, pasta, chicken, fish sticks, black beans, avocado, sweet potato cubes, graham crackers, shredded cheese, etc
