Scheduled WTF
My temp job is done in a few weeks so I also just scheduled my Pap and WTF all the same day. This should get me a free visit since insurance pays for the pap. I figured I should get it done and can see what he has to say. Over the phone on beta day he just said he didn't know, but something was wrong. Hopefully he has some better thoughts when I go in on the 8th. I also plan to tell him we will be seeing another RE and I need my files. I am freaking out about this, but I think it needs to be done. I am going to have him send the files to the Uro we are hoping to see as well, or at least get copies myself so I can do it.
I also have a dentist apt the dame day:< But it just worked out that he had time and my dentist apt was already down that day too.
Has anyone had to pay for their files from their RE? My last one just gave them to me since he was retiring and I didn't know for sure where to go next. I still have the and my nurse said to bring those as well even though they are 4 years old and from IUIs.

I haven't had to pay for records but my clinic will charge 75cents a page if you ask for more than 1 copy.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.
MTHFR A1298C & C677T, Immune Issues and Factor II
I am hoping to just get a copy myself. Then I can look at it and keep a copy. We have to take the first packet to the new RE anyway.
They had better not charge after how much I have spend there.

i would just request everything for yourself and make your own copies as needed and send them to 2nd opinion RE and uro yourself.
you should call now and ask about a copy of your records. usually you have to make request from records person and i never discussed getting a copy with my RE. with one clinic I had to fill out a form and fax it and with another i had to write a letter asking for my records.
i've also been told it can take 7-10 days so i would request now.

I had to pay for my records from my 3rd RE but it was because I didn't know who I was going to see yet. Apparently if they sent the records directly to another RE, it was free but if the records come to me, it was a certain charge per page. I was pissed when I got a bill for $57!
