Best double or triple stroller??

Looking for feedback on Baby Trend Double Snap n Go...or any suggestions for a triple stroller that could be used with 2 infant carriers AND still have a 3 child seated.

Re: Best double or triple stroller??

  • how old is your other child?

there really are no strollers to use with 2 car seats  + a third seat... maybe the Big Caboose- but everyone i have ever met with it HATED it.

i used a Valco Trimode twin  + toddler seat when i needed all 3 seated. My son was 2y2mo when the twins were born.  By 3yo with him i was able to put him on a ride-on board instead - on the back of my BJ City Select, which is awesome.

i trained my son to hold on to his "special handle" which was just a huge caribeener clipped on to the side of the double stroller- so he'd walk and stay right next to me- when i couldn't use the Valco.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • We only have the twins, but we really liked our Double Snap n Go in the early months, and the City Mini double after that.

  • If I go full term, my daughter will barely be 14 months old.

  • The DSNG is great for using with carseats, but maybe not the best for you when you're taking all 3 kids out (because your daughter is so young).

The Valco is a sweet stroller. My son is older, so we didn't buy the joey seat, but it sounds like it could be a great option for your situation. If you decide to get one, stalk ebay and craigslist. That's where I got mine and it was less than 1/2 of what I would have paid new.

  • My DD is going to be right at 14 months and we had the Joovy Big Caboose shipped out and hated it. She will in no way be ready for the Sit N Stand board at that point. We instead have opted in doing the Chicco Cortina together for the babies so they can be in their carriers/or seats. We got DD Chicco's Liteway. I do not plan on going anywhere with all 3 kids any time soon, so having two strollers is fine as DH or a grandparent will be with me. Eventually we may look into something like a tandem with a board for DD, but for now I am glad with our choice. Good luck!

We're doing about the same thing. If I go to full term DS will be 15 months. We got a DSNG that we will use with the twins for the next year. Next year we are going to get the double city mini with glider board. We got DS his own Chicco lite way. I figure if we go anywhere that DS can't walk, I won't be by myself. I always have a carrier if I need it.  I am just hoping DS is actually walking by 15 months.

  • Hm with an older LO that young plus twins, I think if I needed to go out I'd use a double stroller and wear the toddler if he'll stand for it (my boys loved the Ergo at that age) or put toddler and one LO in the stroller and wear one of the twins. Maybe something like a DuoGlider if you don't want to spend too much; that can take two car seats if you want it to but you could also put one car seat in the back and toddler in the front.

  • We opted not to find a stroller that would fit all 3, and it was a good decision b/c now that they're here, I have NO desire to go anywhere w/ all 3, by myself! If someone is w/ you and you have all 3, you can have the other person push a 2nd stroller.

The only place I've gone w/ all 3 is to the grocery store for formula, and I put both carseats in the shopping cart and DD1 walked, or I held her part of the time. She was 2 when they were born.

    GL!

  • Thanks for all of the suggestions! The thought of going somewhere alone with all 3 already scares me!!

  • I just bought a sit stand add on from zulily. Junior x rider I think. My husband installed it last night I'm pretty excited. They don't carry triple strollers here in Hawaii, and shipping is bananas. I think this will work great. It has a little seat they can sit on with a buckle or it easily detaches and they can just stand on the platform.
