I have a pre-op appt this afternoon for my surgery which is on May 2nd (thyroidectomy, lymph node removal and right neck dissection) and am just wondering what to expect. My understanding is that pre-ops are more about making sure you are okay to go under general anesthesia so I'm expecting maybe physical exam, bloodwork, and something to make sure my heart is in good working order (EKG?)? Anything else? I'm hoping I can get out before rush hour starts!
