We are going to visit my SIL this weekend and it's a 5 hour drive to see them. I don't want LO sleeping the whole ride (or we'll be paying for it that night), so I want to bring some stuff to keep her entertained. Are there any apps that you've found that your LO likes? I know some are against the whole tv thing, but this will be used as a distraction and not during the whole trip.
Re: Apps for baby
I have a few apps that I downloaded for the same reason. Our drive was a 20 hour one way road trip. Ft. Worth to D.C and back over the course of 9 days.
Baby Balloons - It starts with bubbles floating around on the screen and when DD taps the screen, the bubbles turn into balloons. And if by some miracle she can tap the actual floating balloon, it pops. I usually end up popping them for her though; to clear the screen for her to make more balloons.
BabyCard (Animals) - Animal flash cards. Tap the screen and it you can hear the sound the animal makes.
I've tried other ones, but these are the two that actually occupy her time for more than a minute or two.
Macy really likes "Animal Sounds for Baby" (Fisher Price). We've used it while waiting in the airport or when we're driving and she gets fussy.
BFP #2: 7/23/14 - MC: 8/28/14
BFP #3: 2/22/15 - MC: 3/3/15
BFP #4: 5/20/15 - Stick baby stick!!!
L love the "Baby Toy" app. It's sounds for animals, instruments and different colored robots. It's great because it locks the keys so she can't do anything else on my phone. Also, when she flips it over or taps it on something it changes the screen to the next set of images. It's great.
"Toddler lock" is also a good one with a screen lock. It's musical and she can draw on it or it draws and does stamps while it's waiting.
Peekaboo Barn is awesome! C even knows when to hit the screen.
We tell DD "no, no not in your mouth" and pull it out and she is starting to understand now. I used to give her a few times and then take it away if she didn't stop. She very rarely puts in up to her mouth anymore.
