I am taking the kids on the city bus downtown to the big central library for their storytime. And then we are going to the Farmer's market for lunch. If the kids are in a listening mood, it will be awesome. If they aren't....well wish me luck:)
Ha, every morning Dillon asks "what doing today". So since I am working "going to grammy's" to which he replied "grammy has chocolate".
So yeah. I am working. Dillon is apparently going to be on a sugar high.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

DD has nursery school, so after I drop her off I'm having a kid free breakfast with my bestie, followed by some IKEA shopping together, and then I'm coming home to color my hair.
This afternoon the neighborhood kids are coming over for a wagon and big toy wash - which ranks is great excitement around these parts, even if it just means a hose and a giant bucket of soapy water and some sponges.

The plan was supposed to be "catch up on work" before a pre-op appt. Instead, the plan seems to have turned into "play Words with Friends and gorge myself on the clearance Easter candy I bought at Target on Tuesday."

Dundas, that sounds like fun! I hope that they are in cooperative moods.
Just work for me today, then taking Ava to the dentist (can't wait). It is kind of sad that I'm actually hoping it rains this afternoon. We put pea gravel down for the swingset, and it is so dusty. Plus, my house is a disaster from being outside all week (not that I'm complaining about spending all the time outdoors!), so it would be nice to have a little time to stay inside and get organized again.
Eli is with my MIL for an hour or so, so I am relaxing at the moment. Other than that, I am sick and have been up since 4:45am. I saw the dr and I have a lovely sinus infection. Not many plans for the rest of the day.
We went down to the big Central Library. Usually we go to the small neighbourhood branch. We did end up going to the Farmer's Market for lunch. The kids were great, aside from Reed running ahead of me a couple of times and freaking me out. We did one time out and then he was good:) It's super sunny so we are having a snack and watching a show to regroup and then heading back outside.
Tomorrow I am the volunteer parent at preschool. DH took the day off work so he can watch Penny while I am there. After that, we are going to Toronto to the Science Centre. We haven't been there with the kids yet. This week is like a boatload of good times for the kids, but it's supposed to rain this weekend.
I have to add that I love living in a city that has so many free and/or inexpensive activities for the kids. Yesterday we went to Gage Park for a picnic, and then to the Greenhouse to see all of the plants, turtles and parrots. Then we went to the Children's Museum for Spring Wiggles (craft time) and then free time at the museum. It cost me $8 for the whole day of activities.

We're heading out to the suburbs in a bit to hang out with my SIL and nephew for the day.
Because we're fancy like that.
