AW: DH and CDs

One of DH's coworkers is pregnant and they are considering CDs. DH just emailed and told me that he is encouraging them to use CDs! For someone who was afraid of CDing, he has come a long way :-)

  • I will never get DH 100% going along with it...he does so begrudgingly.  When I am out of town next weekend, she will be in disposables all weekend long.  It's not a battle worth fighting.

  • My DH is also totally on board with it and he also recommends it to his friends on how easy it is. I really do think that it is because I made it very easy for him. We have 33 4.0 Pocket diapers that are all the same brand. It is easy for him to change a diaper so he doesn't know which insert goes to what diaper and such. I saw him stuffing diapers the other day while watching his TV show! Big Smile My has really come a long way too.

Yep, this is us every 2-3 days in the evening..watching tv and stuffing dipes. It used to take me so long and now I switch to autopilot and just stuff, stuff, stuff! DD LOVES when I stuff CDs because she likes to pull the pieces out of the basket and throw them on the floor. Not very helpful but thoroughly entertaining for both of us :-D

  • MH has definitely come around!  He was so against at first.  Then she had this constant rash that wouldn't go away.  So, the sitter started using her CDs on A.  The rash got better.  We got a few to try out at home as well.  It kept getting better.  Then my dad took her to the zoo and she was in sposies all day.  The rash came roaring back.  Now, we CD all day (one sposies a day for overnight use) and both DH and my dad are on board.  My dad is so on board that he refuses to put a sposie on her and even attempts prefolds if no pockets are in the bag. lol
  • My DH is all for it when I'm taking care of it. If he's having to change diapers though (which ONLY happens if I go out which is never) then DS is either in disposables or my couple CDs I have with APLIX.
