Oh FFS

I can not believe this has happened again. I know I posted about this last year so some of you may remember that my DH is allergic to something in the backyard. Poison ivy or oak or something.

He managed to tangle with it again the other day and his hands are covered with little red itchy bumps. Also every part of his body that a man scratches is also covered with said bumps.  So now he has to go to the Dr and get steroid shots....yay.

*facepalm*

No idea. We never see anything back there but whatever it is he finds it, gets it on his hands and spreads it to whatever his hands touch.

Just make sure your DH doesn't facepalm. Wink

In all seriousness, though, that sucks!! I hope it goes away quickly.

  • I got poison ivy in our yard a couple years ago, it suuuuucked. DH probably went through an entire bottle of Round up spraying it on any weed that vaguely resembled PI. Now that I know what it looks like I see it everywhere, it's really common, especially this time of year. I remember I got it in May, and had to wear pants even though it was so hot so people didn't see my scary scary legs. Ugh.

  • at least he's still going back there.  my dh would use it as an excuse never to do any yard work again.

when we first got our house, he was all about mowing the lawn.  then he decided that it aggravated his allergies.   so he stopped.  sure, he kept saying he would do it.  but he never did.  finally one of our neighbors stepped in a mowed it for us because things had gotten so out of hand.  now i mow the lawn.
