Mylicon drops are great! They really help my daughter. Be sure you get the non-staining kind. The Equate brand has actually been her favorite (and the easiest to give her) as far as taste, and it doesn't stain.
worth a try is LO is gassy. It worked for both of my kids and gripe water did absolutely nothing but make them more fussy. As far as i know, Mylicon is no longer made (part of the Johnson & Johnson fall out) but generic store brands seem to work just fine--that is all we could find for DS.
We put drops in every bottle and they are defintiely helping. We tried gripe water and ended up in the ER (long story.. but safe to say we will never use gripe water again due to choking).

My pedi said they seem to work for about 50% of kids. If DD has a stubborn burp they seem to help but don't do anything to help her farts. Gripe water is magic for hiccups but I only use them when the hiccups are the deep ones that seem to make her uncomfortable.
