NBR- Throat Ulcers

So DS and I are finally doing a little better and I get hit with something else.  I am still taking antibiotics from what the Dr. said was a bad sinus infection and turned into an ear infection in both ears.  So I started feeling better and yesterday starting feeling worse again.

I go in and the Dr. said I have a ton of Throat Ulcers.  She ruled out it being due to yeast or anything of that sort.  Now I can barely swallow and it is so much pain.  The point of my post, I am wondering if anyone has ever had throat ulcer's for any reason at all?  If so, how quickly everything started healing and what your Dr. did for you?

    have you thought about going to an ENT? i've never had them but i've had friends who had and it cleared up pretty quickly

    I didn't have it, but LO did about a month ago and the Dr. said the throat ulcers were a form of hand, foot, mouth.  They gave her a Rx with a mixture of Benadryl and an antacid.  It's a virus so there was nothing more they could give her for it.  The meds are supposed to coat the throat to make it easier to swallow and allow the ulcers to go away with time.

     I hope you feel better soon!

    I had this in February and I ended up in the ER. It was viral herpangina. My throat hurt worse than anything I've ever imagined. I could not swallow, eat, etc. It took 9 days for my throat to heal enough to not feel pain.

    "Magic Mouthwash"  or "Magic Swizzle" that's the mouth stuff and I picked mine up today.  It works wonders although it makes you feel like you can't swallow right because it has lidocaine in it.  Hopefully it clears up soon but this morning I woke up and it did feel slightly better.
