2 for intercourse, 4 more for 3rd base (either oral and/or manual). I think people should count 3rd base a lot more often...it is still orgasming, etc. And if you're gay it basically counts as going all the way.
As a teen I was very serious about sex so I held out for a guy I loved but I didn't hold 3rd base to as high of a standard. Out of the 4 3rd basers only one do I really regret, though. And looking back, one of those guys was special enough I could (should?) have just lost my virginity to him with no regrets. As for the guy I lost my virginity to, no regrets there either and we are still friends.
Basically, I feel like I had an amazing sex/relationship life compared to average. Most people either had an unpleasant virginity-losing session and/or some horrible boyfriends and/or some horrible breakups. I only had one crap boyfriend and even he wasn't that horrible.
