How long do you pump?

After about 10 min nothing is coming out for me. I try to pump longer in hopes to increase my supply. Just curious how long others pump for?

Re: How long do you pump?

  • 10-20 minutes depending on how quickly I need to get back to work.  There is usually always still milk coming out when I stop.  But it is just a drop here and there (has slowed way down).

  • LC said to pump at least 20 mins.  My LO is 4 wks old today and my supply has fluctuated.  Make sure you are drinking water and also get some rest (I know, easier said than done but it helps with supply).

  • I always pumped at least 20 minutes. It really helped me to pump after taking a hot shower and having DD near me.

This. I try to do 20 minutes whenever possible, but when EPing with an infant and a toddler, sometimes 10 minutes is all I can do.
