My LO went through this a couple weeks ago. She started eating less and less, I felt like I was force feeding her and was about to call the doctor since she was down to about half of what was her normal amount. She was acting totally normal which was the only reason I didn't. Then all of a sudden she went through what I presume was her 6 month growth spurt. She started eating almost twice what she was eating and after about a week and went back down to her normal amount if not a little more. Could be something similar? If you're really worried or she isn't acting like herself maybe call your ped's office and talk to a nurse.

We just left the pedi and I asked the same question. He said that if he is still at a healthy weight, not to worry. He'll eat when he's hungry. It's just scary when they cut back so much.
We're dealing with the same thing here. For the last few weeks, E has decided that she doesn't want to eat. Since this is particularly problematic on weekends, I figured that she might be too "busy" playing. I try and try to stick bottles in her mouth, but she simply spits them out. She's not fussy, she doesn't seem hungry and she's not the least bit interested in solids yet. Its worrisome, but her weight seems fine and she's alert and happy. Hopefully she sorts herself out soon.
Re: Hunger strike?
