I just recently bought some salt and pepper calamari at costco, and now I'm wondering if I am even allowed to eat it...does anyone know? Also what are some good dips for it? I am thinking cocktail sauce, I forget what they usually serve iwth it in resturants.

I'm from the same neck of the woods and my OB explained that it's lobsters (and other seafood) from certain local areas. I think New Bedford Harbor was one. Though, it's not like you can really ask which bay they got it from! My guess is that's why it's on your/our list. It's fairly likely that it's local.
I've eaten lobster so far, too. Yum.
