I've never done research on doulas so I am completely clueless as to all the do but here are a couple questions. Can you hire a doula to stay at your house for the first couple of weeks after a baby arrives? Is there a way to find a doula who specializes in helping with BF? I know I am thinking ahead but after all we went through with BF this time I am bound and determined to make it work next time. I truly believe that having a live-in advocate that first week would help me so much. Not that DH wasn't support it's just he didn't know how to help me. He really wanted to help but felt kind of helpless in that department because he didn't know much about BF. I could definitely take some classes next time around and prepare more but it would be great if there was someone I could hire to help me.
Re: question about doulas
Yep! It's called a Postpartum Doula and it's what I hope to be soon.
