Nervous!! Lydia is pretty tiny so she still fits quite nicely, but she is pulling herself up to sitting in it. I don't strap her in because of the sleep sack, so she is oing to move to the pnp in our room tonight. Have been saying this or months, but I reallllly need to get her a crib!
Any tips for the first few nights out of the RnP? She is a great sleeper, but I am still nervous it is going to be a rough few nights!
Re: 7.5m & moving out of RnP tonight
Lady, I will be SO SO curious to hear how this goes for you! Harrison is still in the RNP, and every so often I try to put him down to nap or to sleep in his crib.... Yeah, he wakes up after 10 or 20 minutes. I am terrified of the day we have to force the transition! The kid has never slept on a flat surface for more than a few minutes.
Good luck!!!! I hope she surprises everyone and sleeps like a champ right away!
Because we're fancy like that.
Yep, every time I try to get a crib nap out of her in Eliza's crib, she is awake in 20min. I think we had one or two longer stretches, but yeah, I'm not expecting it to go well. Ugh, then when I get the crib, I need to transition her to another new sleeping apparatus and environment. Fun times. I remember it going better than I expected with Eliza though...
We unswaddled and moved to the crib (from the RNP) cold turkey at 5 months. Its hard to say if things got worse or not, because his sleep was TERRIBLE at that point, so we figured we had nothing to lose
he was a great roller by then though, so we actually transitioned by letting him sleep on his tummy.
good luck! I hope its an easy transition for you both!
This is my plan...as soon as he is rolling, we will unswaddle and put him in the crib...where hopefully he will be a super happy tummy sleeper. Sounds brutal to do it all at once, but I just can't imagine having to go through more than one big transition. (fwiw, Anna had no problem whatsoever going from PNP to her crib!)
Because we're fancy like that.
