Can We Talk Boobs?

My boobs have hurt since the day I ovulated.  We are talking, you touch them, and I will knife you type of pain.... Ok, I really won't knife you, but dude, they hurt like h.e. double hockey sticks.  Can someone please tell me they stop hurting at some point?  I can barely sleep!

Re: Can We Talk Boobs?

  • in my experience the sore boobie problem does not cease until you have successfully weaned the baby from breastfeeding. And heaven forbid you get a clogged milk duct or mastitis! That sh@t really hurts! However, mine was not as bad as your's seems to be and that was just my experience hopefully you will be much luckier!

  • I don't know if size has anything to do with it but I am a D cup and my boobs are already getting bigger and they are very sore (7 weeks). If my husband hugs me too hard, I wince. I have to hold my boobs when I jog. I think it is one of those things like the other symptoms where some women feel it more than others. I am definitely with you on this one!
  • i can hardly sleep at night my boobs hurt so bad! i feel ya!

  • I am in the same boat as you. Mine are killing me. I went to the doctors the other day and they did an exam I almost started to cry He was like does that hurt already:??? I found sleeping with a sports bra on has really helped me at night. Hope that helps you...
  • I hear ya!!  Every time I think they're getting better, they start hurting worse again!
  • I too am 7 weeks and a D cup with very sore and growing boobs! That was actually my first pregnancy symptom. Changing my bra is painful. I can't even think about running!

  • I'm also a D cup, I didn't think they could get much bigger.... boy was I wrong.  The poor husband sees them getting bigger... thinks they are toys for him, but sadly, I will kill him if he touches them.  I will try the sports bra.... never been too much of a fan of them, but if they work, I'll try anything!

  • Mine are killing me too. My DH snuck up behind me and tried to grab them, and I about cut a ***. I know he was trying to be playfull (I have not been feeling all that attractive as of late, and super bloaty). I told him I appreciated the gesture, but if he tried that again, we would have to have a serious talk :)

Its really weird tho, I had a breast reduction about 6 years ago, and now they feel like they are growing back. I am not used to this!

  • I recommend the sports bra too. They are overall comfortable and if you don't want to take it off it's not bad to sleep in. I can't put on a normal bra. It isn't comfortable. and yes they are extremely sensitive. DH thinks its funny.

  • For me they hurt from around 5 weeks until around 12 weeks then they started to slowly feel better but kept a light soreness until birth and then breastfeeding started a new type of discomfort. However, after 6 months of breastfeeding, you get used to it and don't really notice as much.

  • I'm only 4 1/2 weeks and mine hurt, but no more than when I get my period. It's just lasted a lot longer. :) But it's so early for me at this point that I expect there is worse to come.

  • I can vouch for the fact that it's not just larger boobs that hurt. I have small boobs & they've been killing me since I found out.   I recommend sleeping in a soft bra too.  I have one that's not quite a sports bra and it's a godsend!

  • Let me just tell you, I am normally a 34/F and I swear if someone even looks at them wrong they hurt!! My friend is also preggo and she recommended the sports bra because I could barely sleep and thank goodness for her!!!! She saved my life! My husband from time to time has to hold my boobs after I take my bra off so that they dont move while I put the sports bra on they hurt so bad. Get the sports bra you will be thankful!
