I was feeling great about how much I have done until...

My husband and I were talking to a friend today. He says "Yeah, she'll be full term at the baby shower. Well- I guess one week off."

My face =  Indifferent

Somehow, I didnt realize I was going to be that far along. My mom and sister are throwing the shower and we didnt mean for this to get pushed back so far. it just kinda happened.

Ive washed lo's clothes, got the nursery 80% done, bought nursing bras and tanks, got some of my hosp bag packed, but now I feel totally behind.

My mantra: Babies need boobs and diapers. I have both. We're ok.

    Oh (hugs) you should still feel great about how much you've done.  I haven't even thought about nursing bras and/or tanks.

    I also read the "What to Buy for Baby" list and had a mild to moderate melt down yesterday.  wtF!

    You are way ahead of me! We have yet to get the nursery started, we have bought no diapers, and we have a few outfits but that is it. My baby shower is Saturday so I'm hoping we get a lot of stuff lol

    I found DD's car seat and pulled out a box of DD's old onesies. I still need to wash them. That's it. That's all I've done. I guess I should do something more.

    You are right on track! Everything will come together very soon! Wait until nesting kicks in and you will be like super woman flying around finishing everything. We still have to finish her nursery, pack a bag, get nursing bra's and tanks, wash EVERYTHING, stock up some more on diapers and other items. So, like I said, don't fret!

    Yeah, it's definitely getting close.  But, the good news is that 80% of the stuff you'll get at your shower are really for later stages.  And most of it goes together really quickly.

    I should post a pic of my nursery to help make you feel better- crib still in the box, ditto for the stroller and any gifts we got at the shower. None of the clothes/wash cloths we got have been taken out of their packages let alone washed. The dresser is in my living room where DH assembled it- he's been promising to move it, and hopefully that will be done today. 

    We have no diapers, no crib sheets, no curtains.  Hospital bag hasn't been talked about let alone packed.

    But I'm not worried- 9weeks left and I'm sure things will come together once the furniture is assembled and in the room. Plus, MH is nesting hugely so that will play a big role in getting things ready.

    You guys make me laugh. Im glad Im not crazy for having the shower that late.
