CD moms- question

I was just wondering if any of the babies have outgrown and OS pockets?  Specifically the BGs.

C is only 17 pounds so she has a long long way to go I was just wondering how long.   I also want to buy some new diapers and could justify it (sort of) to MH if I can be like well she will grow out of these soon so we should get some of these pretty bigger ones. Wink

Re: CD moms- question

  • My DD is probably a little bigger than C but we are still on the smallest setting for our OS pockets. We might move to the next snap soon though. I hope I don't have to buy more because she outgrew them. I'm really hoping that the pockets last until she is potty trained! I know, I'm not much help with excuses to buy more CDs :-P

Yeah... she's on the middle snap rise wise but she's still on the smallest ones around her waist.  She's long and skinny.

Maybe I can just sell some of my other dipes I don't like as much. :)

  • Nope, Isaac is still on the middle snap too. And I've heard they get longer and skinnier once they start walking so they're on that last snap longer than you think they will. So I think you've got a while. You'll have to come up with a different reason for NEEDING new ones!

Wow! Smallest snap around the waist...that is definitely tiny!! You could sell them on diaperswappers...I've bought some CDs from that website and its super easy and I got a good price. I think selling some of yours definitely warrants buying some new ones! :-)

Yeah I bought some from there when we first started... I'll have to look into it.

BTW someone paged you on the CD page.  I don't know how often you check that.

  • Happy Hieny's (spelling?) has a longer rise, so as your baby gets taller, if rise becomes an issue, you can purchase some of those.

What I have learned while CDing is that as they get older, they will thin out and the diapers will fit again. For instance, in RAR we are on the biggest setting rise wise, but near the smallest setting on the waist. The mamas on my cd board told me that as her body changes, she'll probably still be able to be in RAR even if it doesn't seem possible now. Plus apparently RAR fit like low rise. :)

  • BTW, FB size medium have a super high rise. I think they might last us for a long, long time. The only issue is that I can't put my bamboo inserts in them. :( I either use a prefold (which makes it bulky) or I have to use microfiber which I hate. I have been using them with a prefold as an insert for nap times and it works out really well though.

  • A is 22lbs 3oz and he is no where near outgrowing them. We are still on the middle rise.

  • I'm selling some of the ones I don't like to buy more of the ones I grab for each time.

DS is on the middle snap for BGs, but is close to needing to go to the largest rise setting. He does, however, have a long rise and needs the extra space.  Waist wise, he's still thin though.  He's about 17 pounds now I'm guessing.

Itti Bitti's run low in the rise, too.  He's on the smallest snap setting for waist but nearly needing the largest rise.  I like how trim they are, even the one size Tuttos.
