But now I am. Here's what's going on. Last night, DH and I had sex. I know it's safe and after I was spotting light pink, when I wiped. I also know that's normal sometimes after sex. Fast forward to today. There's still light light pale pink when I wipe. Then came 3 bright red streaks in discharge, just one time and went back to pale light pink again. That got me worried, called the doctor and we're doing a blood test to check levels. I do have cramping or anything. For some reason I just hve a bad feeling. Hope I'm wrong tho. It's going to be a long wait til Monday.
Re: I told myself I wasn't going to worry this pregnancy..
Have you had an u/s at all yet? Another thing to ease your mind is that if you've seen the heartbeat the risk of m/c goes down to like 3% which is where it stays, I think, for the rest of your pg.
It's changed some. Sometimes when I wipe, it's brown. I've had twice where it was a red streak in a lot of discharge. Then nothing. I was hoping twy would just do an ultrasound. Now it's going to be on my mind til next week. They don't do ultrasounds til 20weeks. DH still thinks its from sex. We um were in a position that we haven't done in a while and I guess I wasn't quite lubed enough. But thought the spotting would be done by now. Sorry if it's TMI. Getting ready to go to the lab now.
I bled after sex during my last pregnancy and during this pregnancy up until about week 10. Mine was a significant amount of red blood after each time we would have sex (dripping in the toilet afterwards and needing a pantyliner for the next couple of days). It would stay red the day of and sometimes the day after and then would be brown spotting for a couple of days. My cervix gets irritated really easily though and even when I'm not pregnant sometimes I would bleed/spot afterwards if we were having sex in a position where DH was hitting my cervix. My dr. knew that my cervix gets irritated very easily though because I always bled after internal exams. After about week 10 my cervix gets really high and DH usually doesn't hit it when we have sex.
It sounds like yours is just from sex, so try not to worry! Definitely let the dr. do the tests he wants to though to put your mind at ease!
Thank you for this! It helped a lot!
