whoops my bad

After I got Peanut to bed last night, I was talking to my friend in AZ, making our plans and DH ran out to get something to eat.  He came back not even 20 minutes later.  When I got off the phone, he asked how long the dog had been outside.  I honestly did not have a clue, I didn't even remember putting her out.  Apparently when he left, he left the fence open and found her down the street when he came back.  I seriously did not even remember letting her outside.

Um.  My mind just wanders.  All.the.time.  It is actually quite frustrating at times.

  •  I'm glad your dog didn't get too far!

I often have brief panic attacks while I'm out because I will remember letting the dog out, but I don't remember letting her back in.  I've actually driven home before to make sure she was inside...and she was.

  • Oh no! It's great that she was found before you even realized she was missing, though. Sometimes our dog likes to snuggle under the covers in our bed for hours, suddenly I'll panic when I haven't seen her in awhile, run outside and look for her, and finally find her asleep in the bed. Very stressful.

  • Yikes! Glad he saw her. I hate when my mind goes elsewhere like that!
