News: Congratulations to Becketts on the birth of her second baby, Emily. Please keep Emily in your thoughts and prayers for a short NICU stay. Also please keep Irishsaphire in your thoughts and prayers as she's on bed rest.

We finally brought Caroline home last Monday and she's doing very well. I'm happy to have her home. Annabelle is adjusting, but slowly. We are hoping Caroline figures out her nights/days soon. This mama is tired.

*Anyone want to take over these weekly checks??*

Re: Pregnant (& TTC) after Preemie Check In

  • Gah, no one gets how happy I am...I could cry!  I finally have made it to 32 weeks!  I am looking forward to having a normal birth and being able to take my baby home from the hospital afterwards etc.  Dr. appt went great today!!!

  • DD is almost up to 4lbs, but still in the NICU. I'm having a much harder time with this the 2nd time around because I feel like I need to be here, but I'm missing out on time with DD#1. No discharge date in sight, which is really discouraging.

We introduced bottles to get her home faster. Of course, that undermined our BFing efforts. I really wanted breast feeding to work, but now (at least short term) I'm looking at EPing again, which I really wanted to avoid. But having DD at home is the most important to me right now.

  • I made it past the time where I delivered DS ( 27wks 3 day). I am 29 wks now and just ready to get to 32..I am a nervous wreck everyday and the stress of worrying everyday has really started to get to me..Other then that..Life is okay :)

  • Hi ladies! I know I don't post here all that often, but this week I hit 28 weeks, which has been super exciting for us. I delivered DD#1 at 27w, 1d. We had a growth u/s last week and everything looks great so far for #2. She already weighs about a pound more than DD#1 did at birth, so, so far at least, no IUGR.

I had a hard time with the nicu rude the second time around too. Hated that I couldn't be hone with dd and be in the NICU too. Praying that Emily is home soon.

  • I am chugging along at 36 weeks (on Tues) but with borderline BP and a bad case of Polyhydramnios. I am very nervous but trying to stay positive...she and I am measuring literally off the charts and my MFM estimated by our u/s last week she is already about 8.5lbs, and my fluid is at 34.... I was retested for GD but passed with flying colors...no one can give me a reason for our measurements. I am hoping the stat I always hear about measurements being off a pound either way applies in this case and she is actually smaller than they think...ironic and odd to feel that as preemie mom!

Just want her to be healthy and the reason for her (and my water) being so large is just because it is one of those things and all is ok.

RCS scheduled for May 3rd but the tone I am sensing from my OB and MFM is that we most likely won't make it that long. T&P please!

  • So happy for all of you who are expecting! Sorry I have not had a chance to really post on here for a while. My second year of teaching has been really hectic.  We got our BFP 3 weeks ago after 7 months of TTC. DS was born in 2008 at 26 weeks due to PTL and PROM. I don't care how many stretch marks or how big I get-I just want this one to be healthy and full term!
