Internet cheapies and evap line?

Hi, all.

We are trying for number 2, and this morning, I used a pink-handled Internet cheapie from Amazon, and after maybe 10 minutes, I went back to look and can see a faint (I mean SUPER faint) line. Same thickness as control line. It's too faint even to tell whether it's pink or just gray. I am DPO 10 (or so).

For my first pregnancy, I got a faint positive on a hospital pee test that my doc friend gave me a supply of at DPO 9, but that was darker than what I am seeing on the IC.

This is my first time using the ICs, so I am wondering whether they have a tendency to show super-faint lines even when negative, since again, I can't really tell if it's pink or just gray.

    If you didn't read it within the time frame stated on the package (usually either 3 or 5 mins), its not a valid test.. The only thing you can really do is wait a day or two and try again but make sure you read the test within the time frame.. I have had evap lines on those tests before..

    Eh, the hospital tests I took during PG#1 did not show anything in 5 mins but showed positive in 10 (even though they were 5-min tests). I know that's what the package says, but in my experience, it's not always true.

    Just wondering if evap lines were a problem (which I know tend to be more gray than pink). Thanks for letting me know.

    This pg I used a $ store test, hubby read it and he said neg. we went out, and when we came back I went to throw it out and saw a faint line. I showed him and asked if it had been there before, he said no. We thought maybe evap, but would test again. Turns out i was only 3.5w pg. so who knows.. When in doubt retest in 48hrs! GL

    Yeah, this was basically my experience with PG#1 at DPO 9. Thanks.

    Will def. retest, but I am feeling a bit more hopeful.

    I have the same tests and the first day I got a positive it was exactly as you described. The next day it was much clearer. I don't want to get your hopes up if it is an evap line, but I do think it's possible its a BFP.

    Try again tomorrow and watch it closely. When you hit the 5 minute mark, take a picture of it. I had a very faint line at 10dpo with those Wondfos from Amazon.  Tried again at 11dpo, the line appeared again at close to 5 minutes so I used a Clearblue digital and it was positive.  GL to you.

    I used ICs- not Wondfo, but from early-pregnancy-tests.com. At 8dpo I took a test in the evening and it was negative but a SUPER faint line showed up at around 7 minutes. The next morning I took another and it showed another ghost line (like you, I couldn't tell if it was pink or grey, or maybe just a dent in the test) at around the 4 minute mark. At that point I went and bought a FRER and digital, took both with SMU, and both were positive.

    go buy an OTC home HCG test. double check if you need to. Do not get the digital ones because you HCG isnt strong enough yet and messure that. remember do not drink a lot of fluids before testing ( dilutes urine) and hold your bladder at least 4 hours before next test so you can build up some hormone in that bladder.... PS im a nurse

    I am very cautiously optimistic. Thanks, all. I think I will try tomorrow morning again with the Wondfo, and if I see anything, I'll go get an OTC test (not digital, as PP says).
