After reading through comments and thinking it over, DH and I discussed our name options. If we use Lark, we can't use Larson someday---and DH just doesn't like Tallulah enough to use it. So we looked back over our list, and settled on a name we almost used on DD (there were several):
Evangeline Lark (because the man really, REALLY likes Lark).
Thoughts?
(Then I'm done bugging you for opinions, 'cause....we're sticking with our names this time! Done and done!).

I love Evangeline. Lark is nms, but you know, if your H has to have it, it's all about compromise!
I love it in the MN spot, just not so much with our LN and DD's name. But he really likes it. I had to remind him twice that it would throw Larson out of the running for a future son. Twice.
Well, I think it is darling! Evangeline I think best complements Monica of all the girl names mentioned today. Pretty and timeless, but not at all matchy.
And I think Lark is very sweet, especially in the MN spot. I have a soft spot for nature names even if it isn't reflected in my sons' actual names. And I think I may be becoming a bird watcher
so Lark, Wren, and Robin are particularly appealing to me these days.
Thanks! I like that they're both Christian but non-biblical names. And it's been hard finding a name that compliments Monica that doesn't also end in A, or sort of rhyme (damn you, Claudia).
I love Wren, and Sparrow, actually. I've been trying to convince DH that Sparrow would make a great MN. It's associated with that great passage in Luke about how God feeds the sparrows, so he'll certainly take care of us. But he didn't think it was that great (no Lark, apparently).
Love Evangeline of course. Lark is nice. I think it's fine for a mn especially if your DH loves it so much.

TTC 10/11. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!

Me too, but eh, it takes two people to name a baby, so here we are. Evangeline's a good compromise. We both like it equally. And I know we'll loooove it on a baby (like we do Monica).

I think we probably will. It's a long name, and we've managed to shorten Monica to "Moni" (rhymes with Bonnie).
I like Evy/Evi (eh-vee) and Evie (ee-vee) both.
We're pronouncing it with a --lynn ending, so we probably won't use Lena, though I like that one, too.
Ha, it was kind of a "lesson learned" with Monica, which took us like....34 or 35 weeks to come up with and decide on.
This time, I was like, let's just skip trying to convince each other of names we're lukewarm about and find something we both actually like and be done with it.
Josh is totally psyched that you chose Evangeline. He thinks that's one of the best girl's names ever.

Not a fan of Evangeline. Sounds like a cafeteria lady to me but I LOVE Lark.
