I am determined to use one for baby 2. I want to hear all about it! I have talked to one mom who loved it but multiple points of view would be awesome to hear.

I'm borrowing one from a friend right now and it's been a lifesaver. I have an ergo it never was able to figure it out. The move is great-I'm able to carry e around while still playing with r. I love it!

I loved mine...especially for when I was cleaning the house. I know someone who was able to breastfeed with her LO in the wrap and was making dinner at the same time.
My only complaint was that my son would start sweating after a little while because of our bodies being so close. So I would not keep him in the wrap for an extended period of time.

It's FABULOUS- I gave birth in December so it was perfect and warm and I used it right away with baby #1 - it's soft, stretchy and comfortable. At first I got intimidated by the long wrap but after some practice and youtube videos it's super easy and convenient - you have 2 free hands and can do it all
If you give birth in the summer I wouldn't recommend the moby to use because it can get super warm - there are other wraps out there that are similar to the moby but a lighter fabric
I borrowed from friend with my first and I loved it for about a month. LO was born one week before Xmas. We go too so many different family functions between xmas eve and xmas day. I knew everyone would want to hold her the whole time and I was a little selfish and just wanted to hold her. The moby was my savior. Once someone see you go through all the steps to get that wrapped up right and your LO is all snug inside. Nobody asks to hold LO.
After about a month my LO wanted nothing to do with. Honestly I never got the hang of wrapping either. It would take me forever to get that thing all wrapped up.

I never had a Moby, but I did get a woven wrap to use for DD. I chose a woven because you can do front and back carries, and it seems to grow with LO a bit better- I've heard the Moby isn't great for much past 15 lbs. But, the learning curve is a bit bigger with the woven- they can be a little intimidating. But baby-wearing is SO awesome, I still wear DD when we go to the store.

I wore DD in it for about 8 hours a day for five months. It was the only way I could get her to take a decent nap. I loved my Moby. It is the best baby purchase I made. I had two-one to wash and one to wear.
It definitely took some getting used to, in order to learn to tie and put the baby in. But, man, it was one of the best purchases I ever made. With a colicy/reflux baby it was the only way I got things done.

I wasn't a huge fan of it. I found the whole wrapping process to be a pain. Trying to wrap that thing when you have a screaming baby is no fun. Also I didn't really like having the baby attached to me when she was sleeping. When she slept, I wanted to sleep or shower or wash dishes. None of those things are possible with a baby attached to you. I found it much easier to just let her sleep in her swing (which she loved). It also made me and DD quite hot when we used it on warmer days.
When we were out and about, I typically didn't have a need for a carrier because DD would just fall asleep in her carseat in the car. When we arrived at our destination, I never wanted to wake her to put her in the wrap, so we would just put the carseat in the stroller. Also, unless there's some special wrapping technique that I'm missing, wrapping a moby when out in public is a huge pain because of all the excess fabric. When we did use a carrier, it was almost always the Ergo.
To be honest I hated mine. It was a pain in the butt to wrap, it never was tight enough, and it liked to slide up my body. I tried so many tutorials and other things in order to get it right. It just wouldn't work. Plus DD hated it. I don't think she felt secure enough. I ended up getting an Ergo. She loved it, I loved it, and I am still using it today.
It was good for around the house but Liam was born in April and it soon got too hot to wear him in it for too long at one time and forget about wearing him out of the house. Overall, though, I prefer carriers and am planning on the Beco Gemini or an Ergo for #2.
I loved my Moby, especially because I could easily put both babies into it at once. For quite awhile it was the only place that they were happy and would fall asleep. I could walk the dog, vacuum, wash dishes, etc with my babies right with me.

I loved it, & used it almost daily the first few months. I just put it on in the morning & left it on throughout much of the day so I could just pop her in and out. Very new mom chic .

I LOVED my Moby but my son grew out of it pretty quickly (maybe 3 months?). He was a big big boy and I felt like after an hour or so in it he would be drooping from his weight. Once he "grew out of it" we moved on to an ergo.

Similar to this it was great around the house and anywhere there was AC or if it was cool out but since DD was born at the end of April it wasnt great for outdoors or the heat of summer. That said it's an amazing thing to have for that first 4-8 weeks when they constantly want to be held it really is a life saver. It does have a fairly short life so if you can get one used at a consignment sale or on thebabywearer.com's FSOT board I would recommend it. It's one of the cheapest ways to carry your LO so really it's worth a shot.
However if you are having a kiddo in the heat of summer some other options you may want to look at: a Mei Tei (BabyHawks and Catbirds always get rave reviews), a Ring Sling or maybe a woven wrap (Vatani or a Didymos Waves would both be great options, again check out thebabywearer's FSOT boards). As far as learning curves go the Mei Tei is easiest then the Ring Sling or Moby and then a Woven. But you will get a lot more life out of the other three than a Moby. They are more expensive but if you can get one in addition to a Moby it will give you some other options if you dont like it.
It was something I HAD to have before DS was born. My cousin paid for overnight shipping. I really didn't use it-maybe twice, but am saving it for the (hopefully soon) next one. I don't think I gave it a real shot. Wearing would also be so convenient when you have a toddler.
I wasn't a fan. I couldn't get the hang of wrapping all those yards of fabric around me, meanwhile C was lying there crying. I have a ring sling and an Ergo, both of which I like much better than the Moby. The ring sling has a learning curve to it as well, but I ended up having more success with it. Also mine is a Slingaroo, and it's made of nice, lightweight fabric which makes babywearing more comfortable in warmer weather. The Ergo is the easiest to use, the most comfortable, and my DH will use it too.
I got mine when DD was about 4 months old and loved it around the house (never tried it anywhere else) I put off getting one because it looked so complicated to put on, but it only took a couple tries to get the hang of it, it's not as bad as it looks.

I loved it because LO wouldn't allow me to put her down for the first 5 mos of her life. She was born in Dec, so I wore it until the summer without a problem. Once she git about 17/18 lbs, it started to hurt my back. By then, she was able to go in the ergo on my back. The downside to the ergo is that you can front face baby, where as with the moby you can.
I wasn't a huge fan. Maybe because I"m so tiny, it felt like I was being mummified every time I wore it. So much fabric!! Also, it was hot and I couldn't wear it out with DD, just inside. I dunno... the Baby Bjorn worked better for us.

I didnt like it at all. I hated all the fabric and DH refused to even wear it. We exchanged it for an Ergo and loved it! We did buy the newborn insert for the Ergo but DS was a big baby and only used it for a month or two. The Ergo is so easy to use.

You mean from a super awesome friend, right?
I loved my moby so much I lent it to KB so she could love it before I need it back whenever I decide to have baby #2.
