LO has been sleeping in her RnP until her first feeding and then in bed with me because she usually takes soooo long to get back to sleep I fall asleep in the meantime. I have a love-hate relationship with co-sleeping. It gets us both a great amount of rest but I feel so panicked about smothering her. I know the research, I believe the risks are remote, and I think cosleeping is great for those who are up for it. But, I just can't handle the stress it is bringing me personally.
So, tonight we're not doing it. Let's see how this goes :-/

Re: Preparing for a self-induced hellish night :)
GL! I am anticipating the same amount of hellish-ness when we go to the crib...which is why I have been avoiding it!
I hope your LO acclimates easily and you get some good shut eye
Here is a nugget of hope.
Our little one had been sleeping in the RnP and PnP in our room for the first 5 weeks. We just transitioned him this week to his crib and he sleep WAY better. We were getting at best a 4 hour stretch in our room and now we are getting one 6 hour and one 3 hour stretch in the crib.
Maybe it will be perfect and you will both sleep better!
Good luck!
i am glad it went okay. sometimes the changes are harder on us!
I should post how it went! I meant to this morning but didn't have the chance because I was shopping for return-to-work clothes. Eghhhh
LO slept 30% of the night in her PnP, 60% in her RnP, and the rest with me which happened because I accidentally fell asleep nursing her. I'll take it! And hope tonight goes even better. Right now she just crashed out in the PnP.
